Unfriend

“Unfriend”

It’s not that I don’t like you. It’s that I only really know some of you.

If we were once friends on Facebook, but not in person, that may be why we’re not “Facebook friends” now.

It’s harder to reach out to a friend than it is to scroll, sadly. When a friend is “quiet”, there will only be a few that will even notice because social media has become so loud, people are muffled out.

I’m about being real. There’s something to be said about “friends” and friendships before social media. I miss friends or acquaintances for “reals”, not what Facebook defines as “friends”.

You want to know about my family or myself, call me. I love coffee and I love food.

I’m a lot like this photo, unfiltered and just myself. Perfectly imperfect. Just taking one day at a time, committed to my healing and being myself.

Written to inspire and to give permission to anyone weighing on the thought of taking the Facebook or social media “friend” plunge and just get back to the basics of friendships.
